INTERVIEW: Prof. Laurent DE SUTTER on the Dutch translation of "Narcocapitalism" (EPO, 2022, 144 p. ISBN 9789462673168, € 19,9)

Prof. Laurent De Sutter's work on Narcocapitalism has now been translated to Dutch with EPO. The independent news site Apache interviewed him at this occasion (read the interview here). Prof. De Sutter teaches the optional course Legal Theory (Master of Law) and organises the CORE Seminars on Legal Theory. He has authored countless books and articles and edits the series Perspectives critiques at the Presses universitaires de France. His work Après la loi (PUF, 2018) has been widely acclaimed.

  The European Research Council awarded Prof. Frederik Dhondt with a prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant for the proposal TREATYLAB (“The Labyrinth of Treaties, 1712-1763”. International Law Behind the Scenes of Early Enlightenment Diplomacy"). Proposal abstract: The past of international law (the law produced and applicable between polities) is studied from various disciplinary perspectives. Our scholarly image prior to 1870 mainly rests on accounts of philosophy and theory, or the published final product of negotiations, treaties. This image ought to be corrected. International law is continuously produced and interpreted by the actors.
